Association „The Land of St Anne”
Association „The Land of St Anne” is the area of ten municipalities around St Anne’s Mountain, which is an extinct volcano and the only elevation in this area – 407,6 m above sea-level. The area has got great tourist values (historic, cultural, natural), where you can spend your time actively.
The St Anne’s Mountain with the basilica with a statue of St Anne’s Samotrzecia alone, is a place where the mass pilgrimages from Silesia concentrate. The calvarian-monastic complex is considered to be the Pearl of Opolan Silesia region, and was established a Historical Monument in 2004.
There are also other places of pilgrimages in our area: Kamień Śląski – birthplace of St Jack, Blessed Czesław and Bronisława. Post-Cistercian complex in Jemielnica and church in Ujazd-Studzionka, as well as many other historic churches and chapels.
